Wifi is "missing" on a fresh Arch installation on lenovo X270

Hi All,

After installing Arch(with xfce4) on my Lenovo x270, I can't have an access to wifi. How can I resolve the issue?

Thank you,
S

Work down this page methodically and post errors when you encounter them:

The Arch live ISO has wifi set up, but a base Arch install does not automatically install it for you. So when you are first setting up arch, and you are chrooted into your future OS, the chroot gets to piggyback on the Live ISO's wifi. That is your opportunity to set up wifi stuff that you will use once you get out of chroot and boot into the OS normally.

If you miss this opportunity and end up installing Arch without any wifi, and your computer can *only* get internet via wifi, it's kind of an annoying situation since you need internet to install the wifi packages. Some options you have are:
* If you can temporarily get network access with an ethernet port or USB, do that
* Boot from the live ISO again, carefully mount all your OS drives and arch-chroot into it as you did when installing, and install the wifi stuff that way
* Start over with a fresh install and this time don't forget to install wifi while chrooted (this is not necessary since you can just do the previous option instead)
