Problems with gtk and qt themes

I use i3 window manager and kde plasma. In i3 window manager I use "lxappearance" and "qt5ct" to manage gtk and qt applications respectively. In plasma I use the "appearance" settings under "system settings" to change my themes. When I change my qt theme to "Breeze dark" in i3 with "qt5ct5", everything works well in i3 but when I log into to plasma desktop. The text appears to be unreadable / darker.  Is there a way to manage qt/gtk themes for different desktop environments and window managers ?

Re: Problems with gtk and qt themes

Unset/set the QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct depending on which environment you log in, or see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Qt#Con … KDE_Plasma as there's apparently a qt5ct-kde which has some patches for better KDE integration.
