Hello everybody,
today MPD does not work.
I use ncmpcpp as client, the database is there, but when I select a song it cannot be played.
I don't know what's wrong all of a sudden.
I'm here to provide any files or any info you need to help me with this issue, just tell me what you need to know.
Thanks for now.
EDIT: dmesg output:
luca@eos ~ $ sudo dmesg | grep PipeWire
[ 43.587480] PipeWire Sound [857]: segfault at 0 ip 00007ff7a34af0be sp 00007ff77bffa458 error 4 in libc.so.6[7ff7a3428000+178000]Last edited by zeruel85 (2022-07-02 14:36:30)

Is your audio output type set to "pipewire"? If so, then here is a bug report:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire … ssues/2488
As a workaround you can change the output type to "pulse", it should work the same way.

Edit: Probably one mor of https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 5#p2043915
You could configure mpd to use alsa:

Thanks for your replies.
I configured pulse as stanczew said, and it's working now. ![]()

Why is this marked as [SOLVED]? I also got this problem now and I found this thread. The proposed solution is a workaround, not a fix. Perhaps a bug report to https://bugs.archlinux.org/ would be the way to go.
EDIT:
Upstream report for MPD: https://github.com/MusicPlayerDaemon/MPD/issues/1558
