have to disable and re-enable audio devices before it works

Hi, i have an issue i've kind of just put up until now on my arch install. Whenever i try to play audio from YouTube, spotify etc. i get no audio until i manually go into settings and disable my audio device and re-enable it, i have messed about with pulse-audio, pipewire & alsa packages and settings that much that i'm unsure what one i'm even using for my audio at this point. can anyone advise me on what i can do to pin point the cause of the issue?

i'm running my audio through a EVO 4 audio interface into my monitor speakers but i don't think this is my issue as i have a clone of my install on my laptop too and the audio has the same problems coming through my laptops built in speakers.

What do you mean be disable and re-enable audio device.  Are you stopping and starting systemd services? Are you removing and reinserting kernel modules?
