EasyEffects seemingly stuck in a feedback loop / not producing sound

I am running EasyEffects (6.2.6-2) alongside pipewire (1:0.3.55-2) and pipewire-pulse (1:0.3.55-2) to apply a global equalizer to my system audio.

A few days ago, I found no sound seeming to come out of my system, and noticed the display in EasyEffects shows an audio frequency, even without audio devices playing sound.
When muting and un-muting the source, this disappears, but immediately reappears the moment something plays sound. It looks as though there is a feedback loop with the sound (somehow).
The only change I made to my system during this time was adjust the volume for my system microphone, though I am unsure if this is related. This has persisted after reboots and system updates.

I am not very familiar with how pipewire is set up in comparison to pulse, so any advice on how to properly diagnose and correct this would be much appreciated.
