Hello,
long ago I have configured my system to launch a wayland plasma session from the tty.
Following https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/KDE#From_the_console I had this in my shell init script:
dbus-run-session startplasma-wayland
While trying to understand why plasma was still not using systemd user services on my setup, I found that everything appears to work if I omit the "dbus-run-session" wrapper.
I found this change upstream, so it looks like this is how it should be for a "typical modern system [in 2020]".
Does anybody here have a similar experience or know what would make the dbus wrapper necessary on a arch system?
Or should I just go ahead and remove that from the archwiki?

The dbus-run-session wrapper should generally not be necessary so yes, I'd argue you can remove that from the wiki.

Everything has been running fine for the last month without using the wrapper.
I have update the wiki.
Thanks!
