Reboot/Shutdown/Halt Do not work

Whenever I try to run reboot/shutdown/halt as root it gives a message "The system is going down for Reboot/Shutdown/Halt NOW!" and then hangs. I'm using systemd with KDE Plasma.

Re: Reboot/Shutdown/Halt Do not work

There's a bug in the current version of SDDM that does not properly receive the signal that KDE has quit if you shutdown from a Wayland session. If you are on that screen you can switch to the SDDM VT to make it receive that signal (Ctrl+Alt+F1 by default) and thus hasten the shutdown or alternatively the bug has been fixed upstream and you could opt for sddm-git from the AUR
