Spotify Flac File Support

A while ago I noticed that Spotify released support for playing local files in FLAC format, however Spotify from the AUR doesn't seem to recognize files in FLAC format after correctly setting up the file location for my music. Only files in mp3 format show up, these work fine. I also tried using the flatpak version of Spotify, this had the exact same results.

For clarification, I can play FLAC files from a file manager with something like mpv without any problem. But Spotify does not seem to have support for playback of local FLAC files, which it should have, since that feature was release long ago and works without trouble on my Windows machine.

I came across this community forum suggesting that the package ffmpeg-compat-57 was required, I tried installing it both along and as a replacing of ffmpeg4.4, neither resulted in Spotify showing FLAC files. (Although both packages seem to work for playing local files in mp3 format on Spotify)

Lastly, I tried to analyze the output of "spotify --show-console", but it just seems like Spotify is completely ignoring FLAC files just like it would ignore a .txt file.

I wondered if the current version of Spotify for Linux didn't have this feature yet, or perhaps I'm missing something.  Any help is kindly appreciated.
