Wireless USB mouse

I have a wirless logitech mouse for my laptop that I want to use sometimes insead of the touchpad.

I dmesg | grep usb and get it listed showing up.  I even did hwd and copied the information to put in my xorg.conf file so X will see it.

I boot up kde and under the control panel it shows its installed but I don't have permission.  I added group users to my usbhid module under udev rules.

Basically I am out of options and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or could help point me in the right direction.  I have been googling and wiki searching for the past 3 or 4 days.

Re: Wireless USB mouse

Can you post the output from 'lsusb' and 'mesg | tail' right after you plug it in?

Ahh and send the list of daemons you have in rc.conf

I have had that happen on one of my PC's the others have worked without any extra configuration on my part, no xorg.conf no nothing but it might have something to do with the system setup.
