Xorg Using The Wrong GPU Driver

I have made two posts on here about my gpu issues, I have a Radeon HD 4890 (RV790).

The r600 driver should support my gpu and (probably) have later versions of OpenGL and stuff,
as my gpu supports OGL 3.3 but the driver only uses 3.0 for some reason I can't use most gpu utilizing programs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Your GPU supports the OpenGL 3.3 core profile, not the compatibility one and my understanding was (again, source: google) that minecraft requires the 3.2 compatibility profile.
Don't open new threds that disrupt the context and start on false premises - you're not using the "wrong" driver at all.

Try to export MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=3.3COMPAT and continue the other thread and report this one for deletion.
