[SOLVED] PulseAudio wont switch audio output automatically.

Not new to Arch, but still very much so ignorant on PulseAudio. I want to switch from KDE to Sway - which is going great. The only downside is that I was previously using KDE's applets for switching to headphone output when needed. Basically, when i plugged headphones in i would have to click the audio applet and select the headphones for output. When I was done, I would do the same in reverse. So, across the board automatic switching has just never worked. Now that I am on Sway, no such applet exists and I am left to manually switch each application's audio output one by one. This is definitely cumbersome, so I am trying to figure out how to make PulseAudio output audio properly.

Quick Summary:
1. Enabled auto-connect modules for PulseAudio
2. Hardware wise, everything is detected fine. The system knows when I plug and unplug the headphones.
3. Applications default to whatever audio output was previously selected, not the "default"

Please let me know what information is needed to help with this - ive been googling all over and unfortunately have no clue how to address this problem.

Okay - I used a gui "pavucontrol" to manually lock the headphone port to a specific profile under the config menu. This gets close to the expected behavior. Marking as solved!
