Mouse lag and disconnects

After some recent update my mouse started to lag, stutter, and sometimes completely turn off  until i re-plug usb. I thought that that was just my computer freezing for  a second. But my CPU was loaded for 10%, and everything except mouse worked smooth. It isn't a usb port issue ether since I've tested it with different ports and on my laptop. I've never encountered such issue before and googling didn't help.

well what packages did you update just before it happened ? process of elimination, if it was a kernel update then try rolling back etc etc
