spurious touchscreen input to X11

[solved]  My newly replaced hi def led panel on a Lenovo Ideapad 5 shows the pointer jumping around all over the place, with occasional spurious clicks.
I do not need the touchscreen facility, but I have not been able to use xinput to stop it without completeely eliminating the pointer, and do not know how to, say, increase the sensitivity threshold.

I  suppose I should give more details, but I am not sure which.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the WM suggestion, but I am using 2bwm and anyway found a crude solution via xinput:

xinput disable "Wacom HID 521C Finger touch"

Re: spurious touchscreen input to X11

If you don't want/need the touchscreen feature, disable the touchscreen device in the mouse section of your DE/WM settings?
