As the title says, my system is stuck after logging in through the tty.
I looked at the log file but did not understand what was going wrong at first. At the bottom of the log file there are few lines saying systemd-logind: got paused for 13:69 So I think that there is some issue with the login daemon? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Edit: I also tried starting manually by running startx but that too did not work.

Changing the graphics controller from VMSVGA to VBoxVGA solved the issue. Thanks Seth you are the best!
