Nintendo Switch isn't recognized when plugged into Arch

So I have been trying to crack my switch and one steps is plugging it into my pc, which it doesn't recognize...

What kind of "recognition" are you looking for exactly? Which tool do you try to use? I highly doubt you're going to see a disk node pop up, check dmesg.
