Hello everyone, I've been an Arch user for a little while now. Recently I've been using Ubuntu on my laptop, but decided today to switch back to Arch.
Anyway, I installed Gnome, and Rhythmbox. I added a launcher for it to my panel (right click->add to panel), but the icon shows up as an exclamation point, and an error pops up saying that the icon couldn't be found. I tried looking for it, but I couldn't find it. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!

The icon goes to /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/rhythmbox.png from the package, but the launcher looks for it in /opt/gnome/share/pixmaps I think.
So you can copy it there, or just change the path in the launcher properties.
The rhythmbox window will still have a generic icon on the titlebar and windowlist, though. Don't know where it needs to be to correct this.

If you extract your icon theme into a folder, then when selecting an icon click "browse" and point the folder to the icon folder and select whatever icon you want.
Or just create a custom launcher for rythmbox on your desktop and drag it to the taskbar, or just drag your icon down.

OK cool, thanks a lot. Was just a minor annoyance.

gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor
If I run that it always takes care of my missing icons. VLC and rhythmbox always have the same problem. I think you managed to fix your problem but maybe a suggestion for the future?

I have similar issue with Totem.
After clean install the icon is visible but then after installing some additional software it disappears from menu.
The icon is located in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/ too.
I tried to run gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor but without success.
