SQUASHFS errors during installation

After installing base packages for Arch Linux, I tried to get access to Arch Linux installation running this command: arch-chroot /mnt and I got these errors:

SQUASHFS error: Unable to read fragment cache entry [28ec6e]

SQUASHFS error: Unable to read page, block 28ec6e, size 55220

zsh: Input/output error: arch-chroot

I read that SQUASHFS errors usually mean defective install medium or a corrupted image download.

I would like to know what causes these errors and how can I fix them?

Re: SQUASHFS errors during installation

If you verified the image, it can’t be corrupted.

That leaves the other option: a malfunctioning medium or anything that accesses it. Try another one.

Sometimes I seem a bit harsh — don’t get offended too easily!
