kde 3.5.5-6 - no boot up sound... [solved]

if i have logged in and kde is loading my user, is should play a startup sound, right?
it doesn't...
in the control center is the preview button for the startup sounds, do u know what i mean? if i click it, nothing is passing
but it is able to play music with for e.g. amarok to the same time sad

I think artsd isn't quite happy without esd. Add esd to your DAEMONS line in rc.conf.

jea it is running, i had i cross at no audio output in the playback settings in the control-center -> sound&muldimedia -> systemmessages wink
but thanks to byte smile
