Network interface is down in live environment

Just got a Lenovo Thinkpad E15 gen 4. I disabled secure boot and went into the live environment to find that my wifi card is down and can't seem to turn it on with

ip link set enp2s0 up

Couldn't find any solution to this so far.

Any help is appreciated

edit:
Ok, I've spent so much time today on this I'm going mad. My network card is the "Realtek Device b852". I tried installing the driver "8821ce" however I believe it is the wrong driver and it would never load. I downloaded the "8852be" and now it loads and I got a new interface when I type IP link however both that (which is something like wlp3s0 or something) and enp2s0 cannot be set to up. Someone please just guide me, I hope this laptop is actually compatible with linux.

Re: Network interface is down in live environment

What is the `ip link` entry for wlp3s0 after you set the interface up?
