yep, Klik works on arch. one-click installation of software, single-file contained applications, the ability to have several versions of one app installed at the same time, no root rights needed - really nice.
to get it working, you need to install rpmunpack, and symlink it's binary to rpm2cpio. do (as user!) wget klik.atekon.de/client/install -O -|sh and you'll be up and running in no-time. some basics required (like binutils libstdc++5 dialog and the basic KDE and Gnome libraries) but most likely you'll have it, and you can get the latest skype, picasso, openoffice, and many other apps. no install required, you can take your app with you on a usb disk, and run it on a friend's computer (provided he has klik installed as well).
