applying an ICC profile at kernel level? for GRUB? for a tty?

My notebook display is very nice in the sense of capabilities (angles, contrast, luminance) but the default colors are really terrible (everything is violet). For my desktop (XFCE) I need to correct them with an ICC profile. When I start lightdm, then XFCE, ICC profile settings are applied; if I then press Ctrl-Alt-F2, let's say, and switch to a tty02 I see that profile changes still apply - the colors are correct. Without ICC profile loaded in the graphical mode the colors for the ttys are horrible. Having a desktop environment just for loading color corrections for a tty doesn't seem to be a smart and lightweight solution. And here comes my question:
Is there any possibility of loading an ICC profile WITHOUT GUI? At the GRUB level? At the kernel loading stage? Or maybe just for agetty?
