hal/pmount problem

Hi all,

I'm running xfce4, with thunar
HAL happpily automounts cds/dvds and I can see them in thunar.
I've recently installed all the beryl stuff (looks fantastic btw), and it has pmount as one of its dependancies
unfortunately pmount and hal seem to be both trying to automount dvds, which results in some error messages. I also get error messages trying to unmount them in thunar (it seems to assume it should have been mounted by hal) so I have to do it manually.

How can I stop pmount trying to automount stuff?
