Gvim 'hangs' often, especially after resume, but not always

Hey all,

I've noticed that quite often, my gvim 'hangs' in drawing its UI. Since I've been on Archlinux for 2 years now, with wayland (Xorg before on debian) I only noticed this behavior on Arch. What happens, is that gvim refuses to redraw its screen, however, most things still work, save, paste + save, moving the window is all fine, but scrolling (well visually anyway) just doesn't render anything. Closing and restarting gvim 'fixes' the issue. Often this happens when resuming from suspend, but not always, sometimes this is simply triggered from not using the window for a few hours (could be less). Any idea what's going on and what to check? I usually have multiple gvim windows up, and only some fail to respond.

Thanks
