I want to run MATE on Wayland

Hello Arch Linux Forums!

I am Chris and I installed Arch a few days ago. My favourite desktop environment is MATE.
I play games on Steam and without Wayland they are really laggy and slow. I would really like to run MATE on Waland and would really appreciate some help , as I google didn't help me...

Do you have any recommendation on which de should I use for gaming?

You can mark the thread as solved by editing the first post and prepending [SOLVED] to the title.

Do you have any recommendation on which de should I use for gaming?

I have no personal experience with Weston.  I would suggest looking through List_of_display_servers#Wayland and picking a DE that uses one of those compositors.

Gamers often complain that wayland forces applications/gpu to use the vsync of the attached monitor.
If (some of) your games benefit from high fps, don't run them under wayland.
