Hi, I have a thinkpad t480 with two batteries, one internal and one external.
Everything works fine, the system detects both and switch from the external to the internal when the external runs out of charge
The problem is that, if I want to switch the depleted external battery for another one with full charge without powering off the system, it wont detect the newly plugged battery.
When the two batteries are plugged in after booting the system, I see them both on the battery indicator. When I unplug the external one, it will disappear and the system will show only one battery. But when I plug the new one, it wont appear anywhere, the battery indicator will only show one battery (the internal one). I can reboot the system and then both batteries will appear normally, but that kinda defeats the point of having two batteries...
Any ideas on how to fix it?
