[SOLVED] Kb layout and timedatectl reset after shutdown

I am dual booting alongside Windows 11 on a Lenovo Slim 7i Pro laptop.

Each time I login, I have to run the following commands:

 sudo timedatectl set-time "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss"

and

 setxkbmap us -variant colemak_dh

Both work as expected, but reset to default on shutdown. kb layout goes back to qwerty, and the time is two hours too early, despite being on the right timezone setting.

I have already saved the kb layout details in the ~/.bashrc, but when I use the tty, I get

Error loading new keyboard description

.

I assume the problems are related.
