VMware 16 NT 4.0 install on raw disk

Hi,

I installed an additional 250Gb disk into my PC so that I could partition it for old OS's, like NT 4.0 in VMware.
However, when I assign the partition in VMware and NT boots, it finds the geometry of the entire disk (250GB), not the 2GB partition.

Maybe I am wrong, but it seems like NT is able to bypass VMware and successfully use a BIOS call to get the geometry of the disk? Shouldn't VMware intercept that call and return the size of the partition instead?
