So this problem comes and goes pretty frequently, but I'm never really able to replicate it. Simply when I close my laptop lid, or even just leave it suspend on its own I sometimes come back to it not wanting to wake up when when pressing every button there is. I tried to find a way online to diagnose the problem, like checking some suspend logs, but I couldn't find anything that worked or was for arch. I can provide any additional information besides my laptop specs below, and thank you to all who contribute.
OS: Arch Linux x86_64
Host: 81YM IdeaPad 5 14ARE05
Kernel: 5.19.11-arch1-1
Shell: bash 5.1.16
DE: GNOME 42.5
WM: Mutter
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600U with Radeon Graphics (12)
GPU: AMD ATI 04:00.0 Renoir

Have you tried suspending from the terminal while leaving the laptop lid open?
systemctl suspend

I just tried with that command and I have no problem. Not sure what it can be then...

if it works correctly with the terminal command, have you tried checking Gnome's power management settings?

Last night I left my laptop to sleep and in the morning it didn't want to wake up, so I left it be for the day and just came back to it still not waking up. I had to again press the power button. Would there be a way to monitor what happens to my laptop when it goes to sleep? Also, in Gnomes power management there is no setting except dim screen , screen blank, and automatic suspend.

Have you tried linux-lts? I have similar problem with Nvidia gpu and it seems bug in the recent kernel. In my case it is screen blanking that triggers failure, (not suspend). Can you reproduce issue with "xset dpms force off"?
