Hi have been using Dota in Windows mode for a long time. My AMD Radeon 6600XT constantly reached 60fps with vsync enabled.
Now, even on the lowest setting, I get at most 30fps with vsync enabled.
I am using Vulkan. With OpenGL, the 30fps limit is gone. But Vulkan used to be much smoother.
Any idea, what may have caused this? Anybody experiencing the same problems?
I am using vulkan-radeon, not amdvlk.

KDE Plasma on X11. Compositor is automatically switched off when the game starts.

Pressing Shfit+Alt+F12 fixes the problem. Strange. It just switches the compositor, right? It used to be disabled automatically.

In windowed mode?
See the other thread, seems an issue w/ mesa or the modesetting driver and/or the latest kernels, is lts affected for you?

I'm using Dota in windowed mode. Strangely, performance increases when the compositor is enabled. Weird.
I'm not using an lts kernel. Are you asking me to try?

I switched to xf86-video-amdgpu and the problem is gone. I can switch the compositor off and on with any effect on the framerate.

Means you're most likely w/ https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=280164 (did you try the LTS kernel?)
You could subscribe to that topic and report this one as duplicate for deletion.
