[Solved] gtk3 is uninstallable due to internal conflict

There appears to be a conflict between 'at-spi2-atk' and 'atk' which are both dependencies of the 'gtk3' package, rendering it uninstallable.

Reinstalling with a fresh iso since this is a brand new install, not sure if it'll do anything though.

Fresh ISO shouldn't matter, make sure you are using actually up to date mirrors. ATK is not an actual package but a virtual dependency fullfilled by at-spi2-atk. Post the exact error message you get.

Getting the error on the live iso even after commenting out different mirrors in mirrorlist. Exact error message is as follows.

warning: removing 'at-spi2-atk' from target list because it conflicts with 'at-spi2-core'

They are warnings. Not errors.

Strange, even as warnings, the install failed with Firefox, but after the reinstall it seems to be working. Consider this solved.
