Nvidia-settings not changing fanspeed and offsets
nvidia-settings gives me error unknown when trying to change fan speed or clock offsets. If I set needs_root_rights=yes and allowed_users=console in /etc/X11/Xwrapper everything works fine, but running xorg as root poses a security risk. Is there anyway to access these settigns without it?

No, they are hard tied into xorg logic currently and need a root started xorg.
