I recently installed Plymouth-git but after having some issues I chose to remove it
I followed the steps on the Manjaro wiki to remove Plymouth (Here), but boot messages still show that Plymouth services start.
There are no plymouth services when I look in systemctl:
➜ ~ systemctl

You suppose to do everything in reserve from installation in arch wiki. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/plymouth
Stop service
edit /etc/mkinitcpio.conf
sudo mkinitcpio -P (capital P)
then edit /etc/default/grub
grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
P.S. as far as manjaro and AUR. Yes, you get more problems with AUR packages on manjaro, checked and tested fact. In arch things are much more straight forward.

I don't have grub so I'm using systemd-boot, I've removed the quit/splash kernel params from my entries as well as mkinitcpio -P numerous times when I've removed the sd-plymouth hooks.
I've also tried to mask/stop/disable all of the plymouth services.

Is this Arch or Manjaro?
I'm running Arch Linux with the lts linux kernel. The Manjaro forums was one of the first results from Google after searching on how to remove plymouth

I fixed the problem by creating a new entry:
sudo kernel-install add 5.15.74-1-lts /boot/vmlinuz-linux-ltsI tabbed after the 'add' and was given a few options. I also tabbed again and the directory was autocompleted.
Choosing a kernel that was not installed on the system did not work because there was no directory to it.
I then removed the previous boot entries:
rm arch-5.15.74-1-lts.confLastly rebooted after editing the new entry kernel params with nano
