Working on Getting my Brother HL-2240 setup.
I downloaded the cups wrapper and LPR drivers from AUR using yay. The are listed as installed when I search for them in the AUR. Also, from what I can tell the AUR has the most recent drivers as they match the brother website.
Cups is setup and printer is configured.
When in Cups I click the drop down to select my printer specific driver but there is no Brother folder / files. When I searched the system for a ppd file I could not find one.
I have set this up a few times on different distro's. Mostly Debian based. This is my first time using Arch.
I can get the printer to test print a page but nothing prints which is similar to my past experiences without the ppd file.
I have read over the Arch page which talks about using the rpm files but I was not sure if that was still a thing if the drivers were already on AUR.
I appreciate any help with this. Arch is making my head hurt.

There are a number of posts on the subject. The one that tripped me up in the past was forgetting ghostscript, but have a look at the threads and see if there isn't something else you have missed.
