Wine Problem

Hey there,

I have Diablo2 and the expansion LOD. It took me awhile to get it installed (didnt' know wine could eject :-p) It was working fine and I even was able to play on battlenet. But alas, I've encountered a problem. When I run   wine Game.exe, I get this error.

err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x6ff7a4d0 "?" wait timed out in thread 0009, blocked by 0000, retrying (60 sec)

This also happens when I run winecfg. I am assuming that this problem resides with wine. Maybe somone can enlighten me on this matter and hopefully find a solution to it also.

had the same problem with wine-0.9.27-1, upgrading to wine-0.9.28 fixed it.  you can use abs to compile the latest version, all i did was change the pkgver to 0.9.28, changed the md5sum, and removed 'arts' 'sane' and 'fontforge' from the makedepends as it should compile fine w/o them (if you have those packages then you won't have to remove them)
