gnome-shell Error checking authorization for NetworkManager

On a host running gdm and libgdm v 43.0-1, Network Manager is not installed. Instead USER resorts to  netctl(**) and to editing manual profiles, for both WiFi and wired connectivity.  Connectivity has been stable over the last months, upon booting, resuming from hibernation, from session lock-screen. All is well.

The boot log systematically contains the following line repeated 24 times...

gnome-shell[...]: Error checking authorization for action id org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.network-control: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1.Error.Failed: Action org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.network-control is not registered

I'd like to rid the journal from that error message, if at all possible. How can I make Gnome understand that looking for the NetworkManager is futile ?

Since the gnome-shell is involved I imagined there could be some Gnome extension related to NetworkManager, installed by default and causing the error to be logged. So I looked at extensions, but there seems to be nothing out of the ordinary there, except for the fact I took away 'user-theme@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com':

 > ls -lAF /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/
'apps-menu@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com'/
'auto-move-windows@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com'/
'drive-menu@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com'/
'launch-new-instance@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com'/
'native-window-placement@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com'/
'places-menu@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com'/
'screenshot-window-sizer@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com'/
'window-list@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com'/
'windowsNavigator@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com'/
'workspace-indicator@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com'/
