Laptop: Ideapad Slim 7i Pro
Dual boot setup w/ Windows 11.
Note that my laptop has no issue connecting to two different monitors while booted in W11.
I have a DisplayLink deck connected to my laptop via USB-A 3.2 (Gen 1). The laptop does not connect to two of my external monitors, both using direct USB-C to USB-C, or via the DisplayLink using either USB-C to DP or USB-C to USB-C.

Yep, just installed both packages, rebooted the laptop, and still no changes.

FYI, the laptop does not recognise an external monitor even if I directly connect a USB-C to HDMI cable to the monitor or USB-C to USB-C cable.

Please post an updated "xrandr --listproviders", your xorg log, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General and a complete system journal ("sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st") and also check the reponse of plugging the external output in "dmesg -w"

I'm not sure if you are able to access the URL for the `sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st`

That was the idea ![]()
You're gonna need that module.

I re-read the Arch wiki instructions and figured that I installed the evdi package incorrectly. I re-installed evdi-git and then enabled displaylink. Laptop successfully outputs to external monitor using USB-C to HDMI cable directly, but not via the displayport. The external monitor image is zoomed in on the top left of the screen (see IRL photo of monitor). The external monitor is full HD while the laptop has 2K+ resolution and 16:10 display. My guess is that I need to solve this resolution issue using xrandr. Will spend more time researching but I think I´m on the right path.
Below I am sharing the latest outputs of the diagnostic tools previously suggested.
