Re: disk parition whole computer

Disk partitioning is opinionated by definition and everyone will have other criteria for why they partition their disk the way they want them. What is it that you want? If you just want to use the system as is, use the entire space for root.

Re: disk parition whole computer

For example:

My disk has 420Gb and i want to use the whole disk, but some times in the past i've been using 30G for root and the other one for home, and in another documentations, the other devs use 512Mb for boot and the rest of the disk for "/"

Is this correct for a good partitioning? I want to use my arch as developer station, i've been using parrot home edition, ubuntu, debian and manjaro, but now i want to use arch, the other ones, comes with graphical installation.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Partit … ion_scheme

As the notes there suggest, you might also want to consider LVM, encryption etc.

CLI Paste | How To Ask Questions

Arch Linux | x86_64 | GPT | EFI boot | refind | stub loader | systemd | LVM2 on LUKS
Lenovo x270 | Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz | Intel Wireless 8265/8275 | US keyboard w/ Euro | 512G NVMe INTEL SSDPEKKF512G7L
