Apps on my PC can't change proxy settings

Hello, due to internet restrictions in my country. I am using some proxy apps like Qv2ray (AppImage) and lantern-bin (AUR). none of them can change proxy settings. Lantern opens up but says "Failed to set lantern as system proxy" I use KDE on wayland as my DE. I can tunnel chromium by selecting "use manually specified proxy configuration" and manually manually enter ip and port to the entries but as it says "Not all applications will use this proxy setting."  shadowsocks-qt also does not change proxy settings.
