[SOLVED] Suckless terminal does not show colors for pseudocharacters

I have no idea where to even start with this.
On the screenshot you can see alacritty terminal on the left and st on the right:
Wed-Nov-30-10-09-37-PM-MSK-2022.png
I have another installation with the exact same .Xprofile and .xinit, so it's not those files.. What else can cause the problem here?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'd say that the glyphs are not available in the default font and not or incorrectly resolved - do you perhaps use https://st.suckless.org/patches/font2/ ?

I don't use the mentioned patched, but I had changed my system monospace font to jetbrains mono. Falled back to dejavu sans mono and now everything is good. Thanks!

Re: [SOLVED] Suckless terminal does not show colors for pseudocharacters

Leaves the question why st doesn't properly resolve the missing glyphs along fontconfig (while alacritty does)

If you're curious, please isolate one of the missing glyphs (utf-8 codepoint, copy and paste it into a browser - google will know wink) and post the output of

fc-list | grep -i jetbrains

for the proper name.
