Vulkan games not properly scaling

this is metro 2033 redux running on wine. My screen resolution is 1920x1080, and I set the game resolution to 1280x720 and this is the result.

Please don't embed huge images directly, this can indeed be somewhat normal if you try to change resolution to something non-native. If you can't select your native res directly, try using e.g. gamescope to upscale appropriately. Alternatively use a patched wine that has fullscreen hacks to do this, e.g. proton will have it or wine-tkg/ge for example

As expected because it contains patches on top of wine to "fix" this, use one of the mentioned wine variants or proton directly
