Outdated packages are sometimes annoying but its hard to blame anyone who spends their free time to maintain them, so how can users best support package updates?
Is there a way to propose a new PKGBUILD through some kind of pull request?
Perhaps I am just not looking hard enough, but it seems to me there is currently no documented way to aid package maintainers short of becoming a trusted user.
Is that actually the case and if so, why is that?
As of now, I have several packages that are ahead of the official version because I tested, fixed and build the package locally and all that work has to be done by the maintainer again. I'm looking for a way to contribute this work effectively instead.
