Bluetooth Device will not pair with pipewire. Works while using pulse

I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with my headset for way to long. For some reason when i try and pair my Razer Kitty bluetooth headset with pipewire-pulse installed it immediately shuts off. It pairs and plays sound perfectly fine if I use pulseaudio instead of pipewire, but who wants to do that.

I tried looking to journalctl whenever the device connects I get this output:

10 23:03:55 tank bluetoothd[927]: profiles/audio/avdtp.c:avdtp_connect_cb()

Dec 10 23:06:09 tank bluetoothd[927]: src/profile.c:record_cb() Unable to get Hands-Free Voice gateway SDP record: Host is down

If anyone has any it would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this has been posted before I've been looking all over and haven't been able to find anything that helps me out.

Re: Bluetooth Device will not pair with pipewire. Works while using pulse

I have exactly the same problem with my freshly bought Razer Kaira Pro. Unfortunately I didn't find any solution for now sad
I tried downgrading linux-firmware, as someone suggested on Reddit - no luck.
Eventually I replaced pipewire-pulse with pulseaudio; it worked, only HFP profile is available for duplex audio.. no mSBC ;(

UPD people here https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire … ssues/2829 pointed that happens since pipewire 0.3.60, maybe downgrading works, didn't try yet.

Re: Bluetooth Device will not pair with pipewire. Works while using pulse

I managed to downgrade pipewire, as suggested in their repo issue it works

mkdir pipewire-downgrade && cd pipewire-downgrade && \
curl -O https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/l/libcamera/libcamera-0.0.1-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst && \
curl -O https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/p/pipewire/pipewire-1%3A0.3.59-5-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst && \
curl -O https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/p/pipewire-pulse/pipewire-pulse-1%3A0.3.59-5-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst && \
curl -O https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/p/pipewire-audio/pipewire-audio-1%3A0.3.59-5-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst &&
sudo pacman -U *.zst
# /etc/pacman.conf

# Pacman won't upgrade packages listed in IgnorePkg and members of IgnoreGroup
IgnorePkg   = libcamera pipewire pipewire-pulse pipewire-audio
