0.8 Grub> only boot without install - solved

I'm writing this article generally for other users. I jus downloaded new image 0.8 (after bad working 0.7.2 "pacman.static - error"). I've very suprised that after boot "stage2" i got only "grub>" without menu
I solved this situation by:
kernel (hd1,0)/boot/vmlinuz
initrd (hd1,0)/boot/initrd.img
But before i made small FAT and copy boot files on it.
I refer to fix it for others - with smaller knowledge.

Do you enter those two lines at GRUB prompts, or are these lines in a configuration file, such as /boot/grub/menu.lst?
