[SOLVED] Bass speaker not working on waking up from suspend

I have encountered quite an odd issue with my Zephyrus G14 2022, that is, if you do suspend-wake cycle, it seems like bass speaker is not working (or there's an active highpass filter), making sound both quiet and dry.

Toggling Bass speaker in alsamixer, restarting pipewire, changing profiles in pavucontrol or running

alsactl init

doesn't help, the only option for now is to reboot.

Re: [SOLVED] Bass speaker not working on waking up from suspend

There were some fixes for s2idle upstreamed to the kernel version 6.1 regarding your laptop that should hopefully fix it.
There is a Linux 6.1 package in the testing repo right now, so perhaps try that...

Also check out https://asus-linux.org/ and it's discord server for support and general discussion regarding ASUS ROG Laptops with Linux. wink

Re: [SOLVED] Bass speaker not working on waking up from suspend

Thanks, installing 6.1 kernel from testing repo cured both speakers and also waking up on lid open. AFAIK it should be released in the beginning of January, so shouldn't be a problem in the next year.
