ZFS import on boot

Hi,
I'm trying to use zfs, and I've got it working well on two sda hard drives using the following packages from aur;

https://aur.archlinux.org/zfs-dkms.git
https://aur.archlinux.org/zfs-utils.git

Only problem is, the pool never gets reimported on boot, but a
zpool import tank

will do it (as root) every time.

Problem is that zfs-import.service is masked. I could try and unmask, but I have no idea if that's a good or a bad idea. zfs-import-cache.service is run as part of the zfs-import target, so consequently never gets run despite being enabled. I think I need to solve this before putting the service to sleep to wait for the drives to come up on boot.

Any ideas about this?

Re: ZFS import on boot

Please fix your links so they don't return 404s. I don't know whether you meant to link to the -git or non-git versions ....

Re: ZFS import on boot

Those are the links people use with git clone to get the PKGBUILD and other files on their system, they're not meant to be used in a browser.

Trogle, you are using https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/zfs-dkms and https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/zfs-utils , right ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)

Re: ZFS import on boot

Hi,
Very sorry, you're all absolutely right; sorry I shouldn't post that late at night!

The relevant pages are;
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/zfs-dkms
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/zfs-utils

If anyone can offer any help as to how to get this working I would be very grateful. I got this working in Debian about a year ago in this config, but I a new convert to Arch.

Thanks for the patience
