Mesa-git compilation failed with llvm16

I installed the llvm-git package, but mesa-git compilation now fails on linking libvulkan_radeon.so with "ld.lld error: version script assignment of 'global' to symbol 'HMI' failed: symbol not defined".  What am I doing wrong?

Impossible to tell without more info .

for starters, there are 2 llvm trunk implementations for archlinux that use llvm-git as pkgname .

What are the exact commands you ran to get llvm-git and build mesa-git ?

As a total noob, I just ran "paru -S llvm-git" and then "MESA_WHICH_LLVM=2 makepkg -fi". 

But now, on your tip, I installed the LLVM LH and mesa LH version, so the problem is no longer relevant (although the compilation error still appears).  I will consider the issue closed.
