[SOLVED] Bose QuietComfort 35 II dock - volume wheel not working

I'm running PulseAudio, and would like to use my USB dock with my headphones. They work just fine, audio and microphone and even the self-monitor, but the one thing that won't work is the volume wheel. I've double-checked the mixer to make sure it's not changing anything, but it doesn't seem to do anything; not even to "Bose PC Desktop Controller", which has a PCM bar and an Extension Unit toggle (which I can't enable).

Given that everything works but the volume wheel, I'm really not sure how to approach this; it isn't a driver issue that I can find, and my audio works fine besides this one minor inconvenience. Any help would be greatly appreciated, though I doubt there's much that can be done.

Nevermind, it was an odd problem with how the volume controls were configured.
