I installed arch Linux on HP Probook 445 G7 which has a ryzen 5 4500u processer.
When ever I boot, the screen freezes before the login screen. (but the lights on the keys still work so the caps lock light will turn on and off if i press the caps lock key)
The only way I can successfully boot is by using "nomodeset".
I have used "nomodeset" to boot into my system and install the "amdgpu" drivers, install "linux-firmware" and blacklist the "radeon" drivers.
My system still requires "nomodeset" to boot.
If I use "nomodeset" to boot, then reinstall the "linux-firmware" package, then reboot, it no longer requires "nomodeset" and uses the correct resolution, but if I reboot again, then it will freeze again unless I use "nomodeset".

The problem was solved by disabling legacy boot.
