[Solved] What could be causing this visual bug in kitty

Hi, Im an arch newbie and its been a blast so far. I am having a weird visual bug in kitty terminal and I have no clue what could be causing it.

Distro: Arch
WM: Awesome
Display Server: Xorg
Program: Kitty

Could not find any similar bugs online and don't have any log files that could point to the issue. I have tried changing the font and reinstalling kitty to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: Forgot to mention its a VirtualBox machine

Edit2: Some keywords for people searching on google. Kitty black triangle visual bug arch linux, black triangle on every character, kitty terminal bug.

Have you tried to change default graphic adapter in virtualbox?
VMSvga is default I believe. Maybe Try VBoxSVGA?

That did it! Thanks a lot, couldn't have guessed that at all.
