So I've been trying for a few weeks to use my laptop as an access point to relay my computer's Ethernet connection to my phone.
I'm using the KDE GUI for network-manager, getting it to spit out a wifi signal at all was kind of tricky (I was missing an optional dependency). Now that I have a wifi network, but if i try to secure it using a password, it's behavior varies:
-As an open wifi network, no problems, phone connects and has access to the internet, but that's far from optimal since I don't want everyone in the uni to come and leech of my internet connection
-When I try to use "WPA/WPA2 Personal" (standard behavior when I press the "Hotspot" button in the "Networks" section of the KDE system tray), it will start the wifi network and the wifi signal is detected by my phone as a "WPA3(SAE Transition Mode)" but when i try to connect to the network after entering the password, it just says "Can't connect. Try again later.". I also tried to connect with my friend's phone and it also says the same thing.
-I also tried to use "WPA3 Personal" as it is supported by my phone, but when I tried to start the network, it stays stuck on "configuring interface" and then spits out an error stating that the "Authorization supplicant timed out".
I'm using a Framework Laptop, 11th Gen Intel i7-1165G7, with an Intel AX210 (no vPro).
From what I see I suppose it's a problem with the WPA protocols or something related, but i have found nothing that could solve my problem on the web, can anyone help me?
